I know it’s not a fair comparison, but we bought Salah, Mane and Diaz for the same amount that City bought Jack Grealish for.

If you look at the recent deals, they bought Grealish and Ake - both of whom sit on the bench - for £140m. For the same money we got Jota, Thiago, Konate and Diaz and still had £20m change.

He talks about the last 10 years. City have have a net spend £600m more than us, to beat us by 2 points in 2014, 1 in 2019, lose by a distance in 2020 and win by 3 as it stands in 2022.

The problem he has is City will never have the history we do. So why bother about it? Enjoy it for what it is. It always feels like the 'party' when they win is just them all sat about talking about us.

When we won the League I wasnt super psyched that we won it because it meant City didn't. I was just so happy that we won it. Seems like they are mainly happy that they won it from us, or Utd. They are new money. No class.

1. The media want Liverpool to win because City don't sell papers/advertising and don't generate clicks. Some journalists are against City because of the human rights issues but largely, the accountants make the decisions in the media.

2. The public want City to win because they aren't Liverpool. Most non Liverpool fans are ABL and City achievments can be, and are, dismissed as bought empty trophies.

Pep know this but uses his false narrative to cement the siege mentality within the club for motivation on the pitch. It also strengthens the bond between him and the fans by parroting their entitled, moaning, chip on the shoulder bull****.
