Maresca....a good choice or not? Not sure he faired too well at Chelsea, but I know little of his managerial career before then?

Let’s hope he follows in the footsteps of Moyes. I wonder if it’s a Pep pick like Moyes was from Fergie.Comment

City had to pick this season to go all absolute ****. But we were challenging them they were smashing around 100 points each time. The amount of titles we missed out on while arsenal rolls lethargically to their way to one. ****ing 85 points. Greatest team on earth.Comment

Yip what a **** premier league season. Dog**** football all round. I can't remember a game as a neutral that I enjoyed all season. ****in crapComment

Chelsea were playing Arsenal style games at the Spurs corners. Cucurella did exactly what Rice did against West Ham while the ball was out of play and picked up a yellow. Got to love the consistency…We are here for a good time not a long time....Comment

Slot had half a billion pounds and has turned us into ****.The BBC article is gushing over Pep, but conveniently omits to mention the amount of money he had to spend to achieve that success or the 115+ charges FFS!
I just hope that his departure means the outcome of the case is imminent (pre-World Cup), and that’s not good news for City.
If they are found guilty of failing to disclose full details of player and manager payments, HMRC should go after the club, players and the agents in the same way they did Rangers. Was muComment

I see that as a separate issue, Pep's success did come from that but he would have been just as successful had they earned their money legitimately. He's a ****ing good coach, no two ways about it.Was muComment

I agree Pep is almost as good as Klopp.
For me tho, you can’t separate City’s corruption from Pep’s success. He would not have been able to build the squad that delivered their success in that timeframe without the money. He may have been able to work like Klopp with more limited funds, but he has never had to prove it. Barca, Bayern and City were all pretty much the richest clubs in their respective leagues. We are here for a good time not a long time....Comment

Yeah if & when Pep bought a player that failed to deliver he’d just go & buy a new one for £100m or whatever unlike Clubs that adhere to the rules & balance the books.
