I think it's the stadium which adds to it also. It's sole less, big, half empty and the noise generated peaters out. The players cannot feel it and it shows with the performances they put out.

the mad thing about the stadium is that even though they don't fill each game they have started to expand it,probably another way to get around ffp rules they will say it is full each game and put more money into the club like they do with there dodgy sponsorship deals.
