Yeah teams are so desperate to win or to maintain winning that they keep driving prices up every year to land the best players. Market is a joke & will just get worse. City are working off a blank cheque book, they don't have to get embroiled in a bidding war when they can come in with the highest offer initially and cut out a saga. it's not fair but sure that's the way it is.
