Another huge cut for Jorge Mendes. 20% of the fee apparently. Football stinks.

From what I've read about him he is a Pep type keeper but the fee is lunacy, was linked to United also as a De Gea replacement.

Said it earlier - Guardiola is and always has been a chequebook manager.

Sure we knew this would happen, City desperate to win and will spend anything to get it Pepe shown up in his first season was never going to let that happen again. United will follow suit soon enough. Madrid are an embarrassment aswell.

Football is ****ed & if we want to keep up, we'll have to do the same.

Everyone has to spend money on players you're right. It's about buying the right players, not the most expensive. I trust Klopp to address the areas that will take us to the next level.

Imagine if we were to be linked with someone of his profile for such a large fee.

Maybe the right players are the most expensive though, then what happens is Klopp ends up signing 2nd or 3rd choice players who may not be the 'right' ones.

World record fee for a goalkeeper who has played 35 games in a mediocre European league and not played a senior game for his country?

And if they are then I trust Klopp to make an effort. Otherwise we'll build our way to the next mega money superstar.

But 2nd and third choice will still be right just not as good. As evidenced by our lack of January purchases, Klopp doesn't buy players that aren't right, no matter how good they are.

You can only really say that Aguero has been worth the money.
De Bruyne and Sane will no doubt prove to be good signings. Silva hasn't played a game yet so we'll have to see.

The others have ranged from meh to ****
