That's what's always happened. This time it's different.

Before there were always sellers. Now there are far fewer, so the money in the bank is just building up, sloshing around with nowhere to go in many cases.

What are Stoke gonna do with their & 200m for instance? Buy Suarez? Of course not. They're just consolidating. A player here, a player there. Not much more than that.
    Oh I don't know.

I think the prices are a bit disturbing this year, at least 50% mark up on last year, especially when you think of ticket prices, clubs clearly dont need the money and are lashing it all over the gaff, but not for their fans.

Our club make less than £40 million from premier league tickets, new tv deal last year was an extra 40 million alone.

If they were willing to drop around £10 million to £30m ticket revenue. All seats could be priced at £30 or less, season tickets £500.

Think seeing my house deposit fund sink £1700 for our 2 tickets hasn't helped

Mental scenes...he's a decent/good full back walker, but this is just mental...trying to put bias aside it's not like walker is light years ahead of clyne...if we swapped walker for clyne, straight swap it wouldn't transform us into title winners overnight...I'd I be ****ing fuming if we paid £50m for walker

Football has gone mad, it's been going mad for a long time but this summer is different level...surely it can't go more from here, bubble has to burst or something change somehow

Just as rough look, this window, £120m would get u sigurdsson/Keane/walker!

All decent enough but that is ****ing scandalous
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Or to look at it another way, with those values:

            VVD = Moreno + Sakho + £5m

If we could get VVD for £5m more than we get for Moreno and Sakho I think that would be a good deal.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Being an exec at a big football club must be the easiest gig around.

Waste of money.... looks like Mendy will cost them close to another £50 million

Good reason to make the move? Or just another money grabbing prick?

It's a good move for Spurs, so maybe City approached them first to see if he was available and after they said he was, he felt more wanted at City.

That being said, he does come across as a bit of a prick, so you are maybe right.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I'm not necessarily pushing one or the other. Rumours earlier this year were that Poch thought Walker couldn't hack playing twice a week, hence Trippier getting more games. Could well be a mutually beneficial move. Trippier seems decent enough that they don't necessarily need to replace.

Aye, there definitely has been a lot of noise about them planning on using Trippier more, but wasn't sure if it was the truth or comments to placate the fans after cashing in again.

Supposed to be true that. Pochettino felt Walker wasn't fit enough, Walker disagreed and they had a big fall out. On your bike son.
