I am not for one second thinking this tie is over, but If I was a city fan, I would want them especially considering the first leg scoreline, not to rest players at the weekend.

Makes no sense ... rest players and miss out on a once in a lifetime chance to win the title at your biggest rivals only for them players to play in a game were the odds are ridiculously stacked against them ... because we are never going to stop
Nah. They've never won the CL and that's their main objective. The English league is bread and butter

To jeopardise all hope of progressing in the CL for some short term, slightly enhanced bragging rights makes no sense. City have a huge squad, will want to respond and get the mentality right for Tuesday. Exactly what that means for Saturday we'll have to wait and see, but Tuesday will remain the overall priority for them.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The English journo's are fuming as the story was supposed to be embargoed until 10:30. Di Marzio thought otherwise and ran with it anyway

How can you embargo what's said in a press conference?
                Oh I don't know.

That is amazing. I wish there was more candidness in football.

there's usually a press conference for all media, then one for written media so they have stories/exclusives for the next day

                        Ah.

An almost archaic concept in this day and age.

I can’t make sense of half of what he said in that interview. What was the constant references to dogs about?

Basically Raiola doesn't like Guardiola since he froze out Ibrahimovic at Barcelona, and bizarrely called him a dog.
