What good is a points deduction this year, given our position they are extremely unlikely to win the league. it's only likely to be about 10-12 points which would probably just see them finish 2nd rather than 3rd and if the UEFA ban is upheld they won't be in CL anyway, it would be a nothing punishment. Their breaking of the rules has allowed them to win a number of trophies, if the punishment is to match the crime strip them of those titles and and impose a punishment that removes their unfairly gained advantage going forward (tighter FFP rules, reduced squad size, denial of revenues or a transfer ban) . A points deduction this year is the ultimate hollow gesture. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Agree completely. A points deduction this season doesn’t actually cost them anything.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostWhat good is a points deduction this year, given our position they are extremely unlikely to win the league. it's only likely to be about 10-12 points which would probably just see them finish 2nd rather than 3rd and if the UEFA ban is upheld they won't be in CL anyway, it would be a nothing punishment. They should be stripped of their titles. They’ve cheated us out of title wins in 2013/14 and 2018/19..

It just says that a recent rule change means that FFP breaches like City’s would from now on mean relegation all the way down to League 2.
We can dream

Yep, and that’s probably why the EPL will do just that. They’re chicken ****.

Ideally the prem will drop them a division or two.
There is little point deducting them points as it wont really have much bearing on the league other than finishing positions.
So for at least the last two years they have been clearly playing with cards up their sleeve, we could have had a couple more league wins.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

That’d also hand Jose and them another title in 17/18Originally posted by Sus View PostRather than relegating them to L2, I would like them to be stripped of their recent PL titles, especially 2014 and 2019. Hollow or not, it would be nice to be ahead of the scum again.
Though they would probably get 2012, so we'd be level after this season. Works for me!
