We haven't put a foot wrong this year, it's pre Christmas we ****ed it up. Leicester, Brighton and Brentford were unforgivable and the only reprieve is if you still go on to win it. Otherwise it's any 1 of those 3 that have ultimately shafted us.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostYeah, they are favourites, and playing well - but we have a chance. We can’t really have done much more since the turn of the year.
I really don't see why some of you are so ****ing precious though. Thinking city will or will not drop points is hardly giving up either way. I'm happy as are some others with accepting the inevitable. That city win their last 4 games. I've made peace with that so I don't get too consumed and angry with each game they play. Of course I still hope they **** up, there is still the smallest chance, bit I'm not clinging to it. Self preservation. My slight aggreviance is with those claiming they WILL drop points like they have some clairvoyance powers predicting the future. You're guessing like everyone else. But even then, it's merely comments on a forum, just chill. We are want the same thing.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

But they will. I've seen it written in the stars. Also, god visited me last night and told me we were going to be champions. I'm just hoping. Its, exciting, nerve wracking, stonmach churning - stood on the brink of immortality. We could win it all. We could win three, we could win 2, or we could win just the Caraboa.
I'm just hoping for one of the big ones. Anything above that is a bonus.Modifying post.

All this talk of ****ing it up, making peace, accepting the inevitable, self preservation etc - it genuinely sounds like supporting LFC is something you have to endure rather than something to be enjoyed.
I’m loving watching us play at the moment, having already won 1 trophy and being in the ‘finals’ for the other three at this stage of the year is something we are unlikely to see again in our lifetime - I just hope we keep fighting to the end and the team continues to give their all

For me the Brighton game is the worst, 2:0 up & cruising, it’s one of the only times I’ve felt the lads thought this is too easy, took their foot off the gas and 2 dropped points is the result and no number 20 possibly but I’m still trying to stay positive.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostIn terms of recency, yes. But I think back to our games vs Brentford, Brighton and Leicester. 7 absurdly dropped points. And Mo missed a pen at Leicester too.

I honestly cant stomach the thought of losing by a point again when we managed 90+ points. It is absolutely ridiculously unlucky to do it once, let alone twice in a few years.
It really does feel like it is going to happen again though. I felt like City dropped off for a while, but they are back in form again now and I can't see Newcastle, Wolves or Villa troubling them. The only slight glimmer of hope is the West Ham game IMO.
Obviously winning a cup treble will soften the pain
, but it will still kill me to see them pip us by a point again.

Can only see it getting even more difficult if or when they sign Haaland.Originally posted by Pablo View PostI honestly cant stomach the thought of losing by a point again when we managed 90+ points. It is absolutely ridiculously unlucky to do it once, let alone twice in a few years.
