Encouraging stats. Totally agree on KDB and Gundogan shows how hard it is to replace aging players. KDB is 33 now, whatever happens he will never be the force he was.

City have gone four Premier League games without a win for the first time since April 2017, having drawn with Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham before their loss Aston Villa.

City conceded 17 goals across their first 15 Premier League matches for the first time since 2009-10 when they finished fifth.

They attempted just two shots against Villa - the fewest ever by a Guardiola team in a game within Europe's big five leagues (a run of 535 games)

The 22 shots from Aston Villa was the joint-most faced by a Guardiola side in the same period

Man City have lost all four matches Rodri has not played this season

For all of the money they have spent, they lose a load of their effectiveness when Rodri doesn't play. I think they are missing gundogan as well - and KdB to be fair (although i can see him heading to Saudi next year.... His body is broken)

Also, haaland is obviously a machine but the fact that the team is set up for his unique skillset means if he isn't on it then they suffer too. As opposed to when they jad jesus aguero mahrez sane etc and if someone didnt play the team always played the same way.

Would be ****in great if they dropped more points before their world club cup malarkey

Rodri for me is key to how they play.

Take him out of the team and the opposition gets more chances along with City's recycling of the ball dropping off in quality (Stones too to a degree is a big loss for the same reasons)

Take Haaland out of their team and put Rodri back in and they still will create the same number of chances, still have lots of players to take those chances, but are much more difficult for the other team to break down.

I forgot about Mahrez, when did he leave them?

Everyone is banging on about Docu, but he seems to be zero end product, compared to Mahrez who scored plenty for them. Doku has three league goals - and some on hear are not happy with Salahs output from out wide!!!

Also the lad they got from Wolves has done **** all. And Gvardiol isnt tearing it up as an £80m CB whom they are playing out of position.

I've only seen Doku against us and some other bits and pieces, and although he looks like an exciting player, his end product was pretty much non existent. He had loads of the ball too.
                Oh I don't know.

With regards to Doku and Mahrez.

Doku is only 21 and when Mahrez was the same age he as in the French second division, still five seasons away from his break out season with Leicester.

I enjoy the mocking of Doku, but I fear it will be short lived. There have been plenty of headless chickens or speed merchants in the past who you never expected to kick on, but he doesn't look like one of them.

But at this stage, he's not fit to lace Mo's boots. Give me goals and assists over fancy tricks any day.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

How does that help Man City win football matches?

Yeah but he is at Man City now. They’ve replaced end product with potential.

We should enjoy this lull from City because they will be back with avengence soon and are perfectly capable of going unbeaten for the rest of the season.

Poor deluded ******* I think he might be off at the end of the season if they don’t win either the league or the CL.
