It's stuff like this that makes the charges and financial d oping so frustrating this is a legitimate deal brought about by success attained by financial doping. If found guilty they will only be punished for the first few years but it allowed them to build their empire which won't be affected
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Puma Regional GCC HQ is in Dubai. It's not difficult to see them having a sweetheart tax deal along with free office and store space, helping them recover the sponsorship costs indirectly.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

        Precisely right.

And where is that assessment and punishment? Nowhere to be seen. Hopefully the new regulator will put an end to this, but my expectation is that their focus will be on club sustainability in the lower leagues rather than the actual fairness of the higher league competition. I know they will be charged with fit and proper assessments, but not - I guess - of current ownerships.
        Really?

As per an update from The Times, Premier League officials are worried as the City Financial Fair Play (FFP) case has cost both sides £200million (€229m / $267.5m) combined.

If its going to go down to who has the deepest pockets only one winner there.

I think this is probably what City want, essentially to make it drag on and cost so much that the PL give up and they 'win' by default

Surely this will be a spend they need to account for in their books though?

Afaik legal costs for a footy club count as an operational expense so they should be listed as part of a club's outgoings/costs and as such should impact their accounts.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Not sure how it works as a FFP or PSR expense, I imagine that they would fall outside the rules (i.e. owners could inject money to cover these if they wanted to) because some non-football lawsuit probably shouldn't impact on the football side of things is how I imagine it is viewed and I doubt they thought to distinguish football legal expenses and non-football legal expenses in rules.

If it doesn't hamper them in terms of FFP or PSR imagine City owners are happy to chuck money at lawyer for this.

It should definitely affect their accounts, if it doesn’t then it’s another massive own goal by the PL

SLAPP tactics essentially, which I understand are not legal in the UK

Rushed him back for the CWC didn't they?

Picked up a needless injury during his only appearance. Absolute madness.

Realistically it takes 2 full seasons to get back to 100% after his type of injury.

(Look at me knowing better than the combined might of Citehs medical team )

Well, the CWC already not looking too clever and that's before the games start coming quickly.
