my god the thought of everton beating arsenal and then seeing city lose to wigan!! jesus wept the blue noses would already be celebrating with only Wigan and one of Hull/Sheff Utd standing in their way of glory after 19 years

ideally i wanted arsenal vs everton draw - to just give both something extra to think about, an extra tough game to take a bit more out of the legs, with arsenal scraping through - plus i'd have prefered city to have gone through as well - again for the same reasons - another distraction, another tough game to think about.

but as it is - this isn't that bad a scenario.
    Totally gutted they didn't.

Tbh i don't mind them winning a few trophies for now if it's at the expense of sides like utd, chavski, Arse.

Till we're up and running properly, playing in the Champions league etc. Rather them than the others.

Right now, we are competing with them for the league. Lose to Barca and that puts them under more pressure which suits us better. I'm glad they are out and that's only 4 goals in their last 5 home games so suddenly they no longer feel so invincible.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Would have still rather they won. Chavs are the biggest nut to crack where then title is concerned imho, City still in the FA CUP but out of Europe would have suited me fine, especially if it's at the expense of another trophy less year for Arsenal.

Ozil is out for a few weeks, according to Wenger.
That rug really tied the room together.

Excellent. Giroud is knackered too by the look of things.

I'd rather Ozil played at the moment; he's been dreadful

Yep. Ozil has been dreadfully poor this season.
                      Are we winning?

Yes but he can still do something special. I'd rather they put in a plodder in his place.

They'll be rushing Ramsey back as a result. Just looks their squad is about to cave in completely. Those halcyon days of Arsenal seemingly have an endless line of terrific youngsters to reinforce the squad seem to be over as well.

They have Chelsea in a couple of weeks and we need them to take something from that game so hopefully they don't go to **** totally.

Those halcyon days are somewhat of a myth too. RVP and Fabregas aside, not many players from those days have achieved much success.
                              Oh I don't know.

A lot of them provided good depth for them though like the Mancs had with some of their average young talents. Most were of course massively overrated (Carlos Vela, Henri Lansbury, Ryo Miyachi). Wilshere and Gibbs have been the only real breakthroughs in the recent times and both are made of glass!
