We don't flit 1st.. We haven't done in 25 years.

They are stable but maybe lack ambition.

Since the CL win 10 years ago, we've won 1 FA Cup and 1 League cup. I'd happily drop that league cup for 4th place and out of the group stages 9 years running.

Twice in the last 10 years we have finished second. We are much like Arsenal, just they are brazen in their satisfaction at achieving a top 4 finish every season. I am sure FSG would love us to be just like them.

Why would you drop a trophy for 4th?

I agree I'd rather come 4th now than win a cup. But would I have swapped a past trophy for the past achievement of finishing 4th? Er, no. Finishing top 4 is great for money, but it's only useful if spent correctly. Arsenals trophy count suggests they haven't spent the money so wisely. They spent nearly £80m on Ozil and Sanchez and whilst they're regarded as great players, they haven't improved the team one bit.

I think its near sighted to think a League Cup is the better end of a trade for 9 years of CL progress through the group stages.

Would I swap a Premier League/Champions League no. Because they're prestigious, and to players around the world it would matter, just like to those same players consistent Champions League football is important. Much more so than a League Cup.

Would I like us to be Arsenal? NO but since our CL win in 2004/2005 they've undoubtably had it better than us.

I get that smoking is bad for your lungs and its a no no that a player smoke regularly but why an uproar over a couple of smokes and hardly anything mentioned about constant partying and piss ups? More aimed at Wilshere this summer than this episode which is clearly wrong in the ****ing showers.

Well look at the uproar over Wilshere in the summer, smoking in Vegas.

I'm sure he was pissed just about every day he was there but that won't get mentioned, I just find it strange.
