At least Liverpool made a concerted effort to win the league. Arsenal gave up about January. With us we'll be **** or the best; 2% chance we'll win the league or 98% we won't. With Arsenal its been the same mediocrity for 10 years. Yet he chose to go where he had 100% chance of never winning the league.

many fans can blatantly see what they have needed for years a DM, Goalkeeper etc but he has done **** all about it for to long now and will seemingly never change but he deserves a lot more respect.

Think those particular Arsenal fans should be careful what they wish for. It is staggering to think that the most successful manager they have ever had gets that treatment. Think he is also their longest serving manager.


I get the frustration at the lack of silverware, but he has kept his team as a top four challenger pretty much year in year out for the past decade and done it on far less money that we have spent in the same period.


Look at us since Istanbul. We have spent a lot more on players than them and have one FA cup and one League cup along with crying out to become a regular CL spot club.


Think those Arsenal fans need to wise up. It has become a closed shop at the top in England. Bit like Germany or Spain. The same small number of clubs will win the league most years with the odd break in the routine happening once or twice a decade a la Dortmund or At. Madrid.

Clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool will have maybe one or two genuine tilts at the title in a decade for as long as they are so far behind the others in financial terms. Might not be what fans want to hear but it is pretty close to the truth for my money.

Giroud scored but Rodgers made Arsenal look ****. Sanchez has years of mediocrity to look forward to, probably well into retirement. With us he would at least have had a shot of the league title or finishing 8th. But not mediocrity.
