There are and have been some very dislikable managers but Arteta has to be up there. Not sure if he's deluded or if he's trying to deflect from his and their failure... maybe a bit of both.

I think that if Arteta doesn’t win anything next season then the core of this team starts to fall apart and leave.

We came back from 3 goals vs peak Messi’s Barca without Salah and Firmino. They’ve been out of the league for 2 weeks now, he could’ve played the kids at home to Bournemouth but he went full strength and they still lost. He is ungracious and ****ing deluded - he’s quickly becoming more dislikable than even Guardiola

He can use that to get another 5 year contract. Arsenal fans will love having another long Wenger (post 2005) period.

It’s such a non point. Winning trophies is about winning trophies. Trying to console yourself with such a point is absolutely small time. Love to see how gutted they are about this

Cry harder you Lego headed ****.

What is the prick on about? They got 84 and 89 points in 38 games, we have 82 after 35 games we could still get 91 this season. Also whose fault is it that we won the title already with that points total? They didn’t push us very hard.

Also we finished second on 97 and 92 points so he can get to ****. Even though it is a meaningless game for us I really hope we beat these at the weekend.

On Seccond Captains, the point was made about Arteta's attempts to maximise all the individual components of football has become less than the intended sum of its parts.

Specifically, what it all seems to add up to is a Allardyce-era Bolton approach to every free kick from everywhere on the pitch being a set piece where they do that ****in ridiculously annoying team dance move in the box. It's also lead to the players endlessly waving their arms at the fans to rouse them - like when they win a throw in midway in the opponents half. They are also by some distance the worst team left in the CL semis.

Yeah that decent analysis. They are a decent team but you can tell they are coached with some negative tactics and the absolute reliance on set piece is not enough to get them to where they want to be.

They ‘could’ turn the semi final around but it looks unlikely.

The post match analysis was good last night, and Rooney in particular questioned mind set. It happened last season when they went over board and Odegard took the photographers camera. They seemed to try a more pragmatic and less celebratory mind set this season but it still seems missing.

In a time of city's fraudulent success, his league positions have been good. He's failed to win anything, he's no Jürgen Klopp, but he's done a pretty good job at arsenal all things considered. The Amorin comparison is disingenuous. Our title this season puts pressure on mind, but they're competitive at the top of the league, he's surely secure in his role.
