I honestly think a good CB and a defensive midfielder willing to sit in front of their back four would be worth ~£40m to the Arsenal team. Not sure whether M'Vila can be one of those players but I don't think the value of the transaction would necessarily be in the price paid for the individual. Over the years Fergusson has shown that it is worth paying a premium for a player who provides what the team needs.

I thought most people on here really rated him and wanted us to sign him at the end of last season/start of the summer ...despite the fact that most of us probably haven't seen that much of him

He is good but not good for that type of money.

What surprises me is that he is completely defensive minded midfielder and they already have Song and now Frimpong (I like him) to cover that position.
