I do believe it, insofar as I think it makes sense. He will want to avoid Chelsea, following Ferguson isn't appealing, which leaves only City or Arsenal IMO.

I was thinking of posting something in a thread earlier about whether we'd ever see a Roy of the Rovers type character in football again. I mean, like Messi saying 'I want to make Liverpool great again, I'm only interested in going there if I leave Barca'. There are hints from players but they all seem to end up going to the sides that are already challenging instead of going somewhere where their presence will really make a difference and elevate a club.

If this is true then it would mean him snubbing better jobs and potentially more money in order to fulfil a dream/ambition. Fair play to him

Might be a tad controversial this but I do believe Wenger is a better manager, and I think in a similar situation to ours Pep could take a while to build anything there.

I do think Arsenal need a change though, I think Wenger has run out of ideas for them, and the excuse of "when the kids are older" doesn't really hold up anymore.

I think Gervinho could possibly be the worst signing Wenger has ever made.

it'll be city. he already has his team in place, and with the work they are doing with their academy plans it'll be 99.9% he will go there.

Whatever he may or may not have done wrong, he doesn't deserve the indignity of being sacked.

After Arsenal, I don't actually see him taking up another managerial role anywhere else at the age of 63. Maybe an international job in the way that Capello waited until the twilight of his career to move into international management and Mourinho has said that he'd do the same and try to manage Portugal as his last job.

I would love to know what's going on, I really would but there was a great caller on Talk****e yesterday, an Arsenal fan who traces everything back to the board being so fractured meaning that they've allowed any small problems that Wenger may have to fester and become a lot bigger than they need to be. I think there's a level of truth in that - you've only got to look at the poisoned relationship between Hicks and Gillett to see how Kroenke and Usmanov are going to go.

Yup, I think it's pretty much inevitable now. So many fans are on his back and he's probably taken them as far as he can.
