Shows he's defo realised the area's he needs to improve at long last. Top class GK last summer, they need a top striker and steel in midfield this summer, one of those boxed off already and trying to sort the second. Not that I think Vardy is top class.

I wonder what they make of it on the Arsenal forums. Personally I'm not even convinced that Arsene expects him to improve the team, but more to replace Welbeck. I can see him having a very similar impact at Welbeck too, minus the injuries if he's lucky.

Why?

The Leicester 15/16 version would be perfect for them (hard working goal scorer like Suarez) but it's unlikely they will get a repeat of that.

Edit: Their style has also been found to be ineffective (again why they wanted Suarez), so surely it makes sense to mix it up a bit?

Why?

Leicester and Arsenal play completely differently for a start.

Leic let opponents have the ball and use the space for Vardy to run into and counter attack from that.

Ars are possession hungry and play intricate passing moves around the box, teams sit deep against them and there is no space. It's like all of Vardy's main assests won't be able to be used. He seems to be a good finisher so maybe they hope he'll get in the end of their passing moves and stick it in the net.

I always remember how good Torres was with us but when he played for Spain he didn't suit them. Villa was a better for because he played the tiki taka way at Barca.
