Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has admitted his life “was better in Italy” amid speculation over a possible move to AC Milan.

However, while on international duty, Torreira admitted that the language barrier meant he had struggled to gel with his teammates and that there were not many things he enjoys about life in London.

Torreira told Uruguayan outlet Ovacion: “I don’t know if there are many things that I enjoy (in England). I think it was better in Italy. England is a totally different world, a very large country.

“The language [barrier] has stopped me, to be able to relate with my team-mates and with the people. It is very difficult when you can’t have dialogue.”

Read that link a few days ago and it said Arsenal are favourites as they need him to cover both fb positions.

I hate Celtic, but Tierney is a decent player. He’s nowhere near Robbo levels but he has the potential.

A quick search shows he's played there for Scotland as they have no decent RB's, which may be where the article I read took it from.

Robbo was nowhere near Robbo levels before he signed.

We won't sign him, but I would be curious to see how he does if he did sign for another PL team.

Tierney is decent alright. As regards Torriera, looked good for about 4 or 5 games and then was dire.

He'll be no loss whatsoever, though he did have 2 good weeks back in about September time to be fair. Though even then it just seemed people were in shock to see an Arsenal midfielder running around and trying to tackle rather than any great quality. A Uruguayan Robbie Savage.

Yeah, its all very well AC milan wanting Torreira (although **** knows why), but he's a £30m odd player and they've offered a two year loan with an option to buy.

You've got to love the audacity of Italian clubs.

I'd be harsher but we've done more than alright out of Roma to be fair.

They need to pay more to compensate their players for being a a **** club. We suffered from that in the past
