McCarthy's not world class but he's a decent manager of limited sides IMO. I think sacking him looks like a mistake but I suspect it is possible that managers go stale or are reluctant to make changes that are needed sometimes. Obviously you need to have some sort of plan about what you want to do once you sack someone though.

I think the lack of plan is the thing that failed them. They looked for a month or so with no luck, then they turned to Terry Connor, a man who spent the previous 5 years at Wolves as assistant. Hardly going to be any new Ideas from him.
      *Except Michael, who died.

Watford have got a player called Poodle.

          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Yeah could be a good game that.

Who do we want to get promoted then chaps? Wouldn't mind seeing Brighton in the PL actually.

                Brighton for me.

I like Poyet and they have got a decent set up down there.

                  Definitely.

And considering where they've come from - weren't they in Division three about 15 years ago - it'd be quite something.

Brighton are my "local" team so definitely them. Although Palace aren't much further from me I guess.

                      And, Poyet >>>>>>>>>> Holloway.
