I know United fans who before Sunday were saying De Gea >>> Reina/Buffon/Casillas etc
The single good thing about the games was that their midfield rarely even tried to cover the space between the lines from which you would want to shoot from long range. Given De Gea's seeming inability to see past the 18 yard box that could be a major weakness for them.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Good point.......a lot of people focus on the 2nd goal for obvious reasons, but the first was quite an example of lack of experience. Its too much of a stretch the blame him for the goal, as it should have been defended better, but if your going to come for the ball....come for it.
By vacating his line and getting caught in between, a huge hole opened up in the goalmouth, and Worf's header went exactly where he had been.
        Not great goalkeeping at all.

Scum just looked different class on the ball and I just cannot see past them for the league. The style of football they played was just another level from last season IMO. Ferguson looks like he is doing it again, and as much as it pains me to say it we could have to suffer them winning for several years yet.

Rafa would give them the tactical element of game that they are desperately missing.

With the type of players they have, he would walk the league.
No he wouldn't. Honestly, he wouldn't. Like with us he'd be top by 15 points by February and then throw in the towel Mancini style. Sadly.

They got quite a few quality players and the depth, which is exactly what we were lacking.

With Rafa in charge he would turn them into a winning team as opposed to Mancini who will only keep them in CL contention.

Rafa would do better than Mancini, thats for sure. But I dont think we can strongly claim that City would walk the league with Rafa.

Rafa imo would command the respect and has the touch of the tactical genius that Mancini certainly doesn't possess.

The fact that he won the CL twice and knows PL inside out would assist him greatly and with the depth of the squad at his fingertips he could play any formation he wants to, which would be a nightmare for the opposition to get prepared for.

I think Rafa would be better too to be honest! Despite the players Mancini has, his team has no identity, and they were miles of united on sunday!

I think though it also shows something about how much can be done with the same set of players. I think people sometimes put too much emphasis on the need to buy top class players rather than get players that can play a certain way and work well together.

We saw only last year how the same set of players can play much better under different systems.

Absolutely, and it seems that is what Kenny is trying to do.
