Still dont see the problem, Aurelio is an excellent backup option, is hardly on £80k p/w and will probably be available for 20 odd games, which is about half of what we'll play.

Only if he's available and that happens rarely (available only 30% of times since he joined us) so it's a waste of money really.

So he has never failed to play 20 or more games per season, since he joined us. Why will he suddenly fail to acheive that now?

I think those stats don't show the whole picture at all.

He went off after playing 5 mins of most of them games. Can someone find the stats including games where he didn't come off injured.

Lets not forget until this season we were doing approx 60 games a season. Being fit for 1/3 of that isnt really good enough. If he is fit he is a luxury, if he is injured at the same time as Enrique then Johnson has proven he can cover.

the problem is that its not any half a season he is needed. its going to be at specific points. and we have a 50% chance that he will be fit when needed.

I know it's an area of doubt with Aurelio, but the facts say he will be available at least half the time. And if Enrique's out for 2 months, Auerlio isnt the only fitness concern we have

He aint on much money and for 20 games worth of contribution or so, i think he's worth his wages and worth keeping. Aurelio means that, for the games where our 'backup' left back has to come into the side, we arent weakened in the slightest in that position.

To be fair we have a back-up for Aurelio as well

ok what if enrique is injured for 2 important games.

it is very possible that FA wont availabe because he is injured.

as a back up it seems a bit pointless if he cant back up WHEN NEEDED
