I think he's only going to get better.

He seems pretty intelligent. He's admitted he's curbed his attacking instincts so far, until he get's used to the team, (and it makes sense to be cautious away at Arsenal), but I think he's going to be far more attacking at home to Bolton.

Jose Enrique is relishing his partnership down the left flank with Stewart Downing and is confident the pair can provide the likes of Andy Carroll with the ammunition to strike fear into Barclays Premier League defenders.

Liverpool's No.3, who was named man of the match in Saturday's 2-0 win over Arsenal, admits he has always been an admirer of the England winger and is happy to have him on his side rather than defending against him.

"Stewart is a very good player who is very quick and good with both feet," Enrique told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"I always felt he was a very good player when I played against him for Newcastle and I'm hoping we can play well together for Liverpool.

"I am hoping we can provide some good service for Andy who is a great English centre forward. In the air he is the best I have ever seen and is almost unplayable.

"If Andy is 100 per cent fit and on top of his game then he will be a very important player for us."

Clichy is ****ing horrendous. He's had a better 13months or so than Evra. Agree on Cole but I'd prefer Enrique due to his age and he's better defensively than Baines.

1. Clichy is not horrendous. He is a France International who has always been first choice left back for Top 4 clubs since he was practically a baby.

2. Yes, Evra has had an injury plagued year-or-so, but is first choice left back and sometimes captain for the Champions of England and Champions League finalists. In the top 2 or 3 left backs in World Football.

Don't get me wrong, I think Enrique is great, but he is definitely in top-draw company in the EPL. My guess is that no other league in the world has the plethora of quality left-backs that we do here!

Enrique is better than Clichy and Baines judging from what I've seen.

He's top 3 in the league along with Cole and Evra.

And is he not also behind Abidal and Evra in the French pecking order? 11 appearances at the age of 26 (most of them friendlies no doubt) is hardly the sign of an International footballer.

I’d have been content of we signed him as we desperately needed a LB, but definitely think we got a much better player in Enrique.
