    All together in Europe

This is what a Manc in the office said the other day.

When other British teams are playing in Europe do you forget rivalry and cheer them on because they are British or do you support their opponents?

Whatever is in the best interests (as I see it) of LFC. That usually means them losing but if say Chelsea are going to go through anyway then them knocking out Barcelona might not be such a bad thing. I wouldn't say I'd actually support them but I wouldn't mind them winning.

I never want another English team to win a trophy since I can't imagine circumstances when it would be in our interest.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I never want to see the Mancs win a game anywhere, Europe of otherwise, and any Manc who says he wants us to win a game anywhere, is either a liar or not a true Manc fan

I cannot conceive of a reason why I would support the Mancs against anyone.

I'd cheer the Ase on simply because I love the way they play - I cheer Celtic on because they have no hope.

I would rather **** Jo Brand than cheer on Manu or Chelsea. I hope they go out and catch Ebola in the process.

I always want the mancs to loose, I always want chelsea to loose, when they play each other I want a strange vortex to appearer and make them disappear.

I want them all to lose and lose heavily. Always.

Apart from us and Tranmere I want ALL English clubs not too lose but to get absolutely humiliated in Europe.

United winning the European cup in 1999 was one of the worst nights of my life. I was also a student in Manchester at the time. It was unbearable and only Istanbul has irradicated those memories.

Ditto. There was a thread on KT once about your worst moment as a Liverpool supporter, and I chose that night. Horrific.

                    Truly awful.

I watched it in the pub...a pub full of United fans on the night, and a few of my mates (sadly) are too. I was the ONLY ONE IN THE PUB who cheered when Basler scored for Bayern. I more than cheered. Went ****ing mental.

The equaliser was horrible, with several :whatever: in my face - although rather more frenetic than that particular smiley.

The winner was horrendous. There was a mass pile on by all the Manc ****s and some prick shoved me from behind, rather forcefully, and sent me into the pile-on. I knew most of 'em in there, and they made sure I stayed there, getting soaked in ale and loads of 'rubbing it in'. It was a dreadful experience.

Yes. I had to leave the pub - an all-night Irish bar in North London. My girlfriend at the time was a rabid MU supporter. She said my walking out that night caused irreparable damage to our relationship. In retrospect it was a stupid thing to do but I really couldn't help it.

Of the current crop of English clubs in Europe, I don't mind Arsenal doing well but I will cheer on the opponents of the other English clubs.

As for Scottish clubs its anyone but the Old Firm.

I don't ever want Man Utd to win a ****ing throw-in let alone a game in europe.
Don't mind Arsenal but would rather they were knocked out as it favours LFC.
The Chavs are anti-football so they can go and **** themselves too.
