Gerrard is covering himself for his england future clearly. Id rather he kept silent on these things though.
    *Except Michael, who died.

Me neither. Unless of course they go on to prove magnificent managers elsewhere, then yeah, by all means. Perfect. But that's not going to happen is it. It terrifies me that we might appoint either of those two immediately after Kenny, with zilch experience.

I don't like Redknapp but he's doing pretty good at Tottenham. And they outplayed us recently so maybe we should keep the critic to his love for publicity?

I like Redknapp and don't think there's much wrong with what Gerrard has said. He is probably the best option for England manager in my opinion.

I can't see either (Gerrard or Carragher) being Liverpool manager to be honest. I imagine Carragher would make a good manager in the lower leagues but I can't see Gerrard as a manager at all.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Exactly. I should've worded it like you have - if they prove somewhere else (by working the ladders) that they can really cut it at management then of course it'd be fantastic to have one of them back. But from what I know I really don't agree or like their football management thoughts.

He's doing pretty well at the moment, yes, but to say he doesn't get the credit he deserves is absolutely mental

He gets every bit of credit in the world, and then some - x 1000000.

He's definitely the best English option. But that's more down to the fact that we don't really have any good English managers at the moment.

Fair play Redknapp seems to be liked by a lot of people - but a good amount of players have come out and said that he can be a cunt (which I'm sure all managers can be, and a player who gets frozen out and sold is always liable to say such things). I just don't think he's the really nice guy that everyone thinks he is - same as Hodgson. Tactically I think he's **** too.

I don't care too much for England but Wenger would be my choice.

                    Amen.

But Xabi Alonso coming back as Manager....

I think all the English managers mentioned in terms of the England job are at best 'tactically naive'

Thats not what I said. I don't like him and think he's overrated. Just saying we as Liverpool fans should maybe not criticise him too much arter they beat us 4-0 and are in a pretty good league position.

Arrys sucess at Spurs is due to off the field stuff he has nothing to do with. I suprised last week I flicked through the accounts of 6-7 prem clubs over the past 10 years and Spurs came out top really, the amount of stick we give them for blowing money.

The thing is 'arry gets credit for Spurs as if he has 'wheeled and dealed' to get them into the position they are on a shoe string... In reality he has spent massive amounts on tons of players and Spurs are at about the level they should be. Plus they still ahve won **** all and haven't challenged for any trophy for ages.

'Arry would be perfect for England. He is basically this decades El Tel Venables.
