Thanjk you.

At QPR he would have realistic chance to actually play regularly which it wouldn't be the case at Juve but I am not convinced Rodgers has any desire to keep him around anyway.
His fellow defender Sebastián Coates may be allowed to leave Liverpool on loan in the transfer window providing there is necessary cover for Martin Skrtl and Daniel Agger, Rodgers has confirmed. He said: "It's been difficult for him to get games. The best thing for Sebastián will be to go out and play some games."
Obviously a loan is a good way for young players to get some experience and play some games for a season, but it seems clear that Rodgers doesn't rate Coates. Can't see him coming back if he goes.
He's hardly going to get more games if we bring in this French kid. I know Carra *might* pack in at the end of the season but still. He's clearly got no future. Kenny didn't seem to rate him either. I think there's loads of potential. Ah well.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
I think he has loads of potential but at the minute he panics too often on the ball and makes too many mistakes. He needs games. If he went somewhere that allowed him to work out his kinks he might even compete with Skrtel and Agger IMO, without them he'll waste away. he might still be sold after a loan but keeping him here is obviously a waste for us and him.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
We paid a good chunk of money for a player so unproven, kinda bought him off the back of a good international tournament..... like that hasn't happened before!
IMO he looks like he could be a decent CB in Europe but i just don't see him making it in the Premier League at the minute, so makes perfect sense to loan him out, get him playing regular competitive football and see how he progresses. At the very least we can boost up his resale value.
This is disingenuous bollocks from Rodgers. On the one hand he's saying that Coates needs games to develop, yet we've had games won and he still hasn't brought Coates on the pitch to get more experience, preferring to use Carragher for some unfathomable reason. If Coates can't be trusted to come on in those situations then he's hardly providing cover, so what is the big deal about not letting him go until we've got a replacement to provide cover?

Carragher has played very well this season. Bye Coates.

That shouldn't be a reason to get rid for ever, a loan deal has to be the way forward till we're sure.
Carra, in all likelyhood, will not be here by the time we make the Champs league again, so we need to keep our potential options open, and Coates is one of them imo.
Get him playing in the Prem for a smaller club, let him thoroughly cut his teeth in the English league, and then decide.

You are of course right. I was merely winding up bootroom. Get Coates at villa and get some regular games.

Carragher turns 35 at the end of this months getting rid of Coates because Carragher is playing well is not a sensible strategy. Carragher probably only has a couple of years left even playing as a back up, if we get rid of Coates we'll need another two centre backs in the next couple of years.

It's perfectly sensible if the manager believes Coates isn't good enough.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
