I think Martinez spoke last january about saving some funds up for big purchases, hence the cheap signings then, so I can see them getting Lukaku in, specially what with the new TV deal.

I dont know how well Everton will progress this season. They have resigned Barkley and Barry. Probably Lukaku too by the looks of it, and then brought in Besic.
Are they going to have progressed. Because so far they look to be in exactly the same position as the last day of the season.

Everton could easily have sold out and flogged Barkley, Stones, Coleman, Baines, McCarthy etc. fact they're keeping the lot as well as keeping Barry & Lukaku is massive for them. Bit of ambition shown by the club for once.Forwards.......Comment

Can't see them missing Deulofeu, they didn't play him anywhere near as much as he deserved. Mainly used as a sub when he was often their best attacker the week before.
Think they'll get Atsu from Chelsea on loan instead.Comment

if they did get lukaku - whilst it's a good signing for them i do agree - they haven't actually improved at all
they'll still be a decent side and tough to be beat - but they haven't progressed at all when the likes of us/arse/chels/city/utd/spurs will kick on -
