When they say 'a deal worth..." don't they usually include wages and signing on fees etc in that to confuse everyone? I doubt the transfer fee will be £50m

I think you might be right.

Briefly went over to GOT to find out but they don't know either. A view that it might be 40m plus add ons or 50m because it unofficially 'includes compo for Silva' .

It's fair to say there isn't a groundswell of support for the signing.

Although someone did use Torres to Chelsea as evidence that 50m doesn't buy you much.
