Shaggy, I'm really enjoying your glee at this. Schadenfreudefreude.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

No way would Laudrup go to Everton, they have about the same resources and he loves Liverpool too much to do that

An Everton mate of mine has posted that since the start of the premier league, Liverpool have spent nett £602m, Everton have spent £38m

                    Both nett spends...is that right?

He's using it as argument that neither us or them have won the league

I did point out that in that time we had won a few fa cups, a few league cups, uefa cup champions league etc

Complete horse****. Ferguson has spent £600m gross since he went there and about £300m nett.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Worked out last night that Rafa and Fergie had a net spend that is within about £0.2m per transfer window.

I'd be asking for evidence to confirm those numbers. On top of that we had regular CL football for one and therefore greater revenue than them.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

He's using our gross spend and comparing it to their nett

He's half way to telling the truth! Everton have spent a nett spend of £38,659,500.

Liverpool have *spent* £601,005,000, but our nett spend is £267,035,000.

It's roughly £12m a season for us, just shy of £3m for Everton, but we've been considerably more successful during that spell, obv!

                                EDIT: Shaggy is on it.
