      He did a really good job at Everton. That isn't necessarily the right experience to go on to manage titles winners but it certainly isn't something that should be ignored or derided either.

                        It's an odd one - the difference in style would be bigger than that between Dalglish and Rodgers IMO and their squad would generally be worse suited to a more possession based game than ours was. I guess getting a manager used to playing with 1 or fewer strikers would represent some form of continuity though.

                          They do have a quality back four though which is pretty much the biggest issue for Martinez at Wigan.
