I'm pretty sure along with a lot of people on here, you laughed when Everton signed Lukaku. I was surprised then and am surprised now that so many people think this is a bad move.

Even if it doesn't work out, it's definitely a risk worth taking IMO.

Although obviously I hope it goes tits up and he stinks the place out.

so to sum up they are gonna be in a positive spend and have sold the 2nd highest goalscorer in the league and replaced him with Rooney and an unproven Spanish fella
Oh I say his vision there was lovely

Well they've sold their only good player and signed a load of mediocre players anyway

It will be interesting to see the level that Rooney is really at, at Man Utd he was in and out of the side so either the lack of regular games wasn't allowing him to play at his best, or his level has dropped off significantly and it was hidden by the fact that he wasn't playing games (His level has unquestionably dropped off from his peak but it's now a question of how good he is at the moment). I for one am curious to know which it was, if it was the first and he can still play at a decent level then it could be a good signing.

Incidentally an Everton fan mate of mine said about 15 years ago when Rooney was just breaking into their side that he would be the player that would revitalise Everton and take them to the top of English football, because players from all over the world would want to come and play alongside him. That never happened the first time around, it looks like there is now a second chance of that happening

                  * The same mate also said that he was Everton through and through along with all his family and as a result he would never leave Everton.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

rooney ****ed them off as soon as he could get out of there. once a blue, etc...
their fans have despised the judas manc badge kissing cunt yet now they will fap themselves into a froth over the homecoming of the king of the blue chavs.

lukaku has been more of a legend for everton than rooney ever was or will ever be.

Think its a little off to have a pop at them

IMO they have generally improved their side, how big the improvement is, is the multi million $$ question

                                Pickford is a definite upgrade
Keane is an upgrade on the ageing Jagielka
                                Klassen will be effective imo
The big question marks are on Rooney and the Spanish bloke and whether they can fill Lukakus boots

If they get Gylfi they will have a half decent side, not sure it will challenge for top 4 but stranger things have happened

They will spend the bulk of the Lukaku money and will probably sell Barkley

They are getting excited over there though and are very much dissing our signings (which is amusing imo) and apparently they are signing Van Dijk
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
