Briefly went over to GOT to find out but they don't know either. A view that it might be 40m plus add ons or 50m because it unofficially 'includes compo for Silva' .

It's fair to say there isn't a groundswell of support for the signing.

Although someone did use Torres to Chelsea as evidence that 50m doesn't buy you much.

I think they should be steering clear of comparisons

Richarlison is going for 50 while we got Shaqiri and Fabinho for the same amount, really puts the Alisson deal into perspective.

I do remember not so long ago we were shopping for second tier players (or worse) in the hope they would fulfil potential... it's a hit and miss game.

Now we've moved up to the top table and laying out for VVD and Keita with world records. It's a step change. Keita's numbers will be better than Richarlison's this year unless injuries happen and the latter is positionally a far more attacking. All for three million extra.

Richarlison tailed right off last season because he played for a year non stop because of the way the Brazilian season fell, from what I've heard. He might well be decent, he started well last year.
