Even with administration it would only wipe out a few mil of debt - Moshri, + 777 = MSP has security over £700m of loans and investment, they are losing £1m a week FFS. The Ever are wort about £10 a a Wrigley spearmint gum.
Bless Denise B eh, all the other clubs look and think "what would the Ev do"I make no apologies, this is me

I can see a scenario where they end up renting that stadium and never owning it. So it could be packed out for concerts, boxing fights and the like and none of that benefiting Everton.
I always wonder about the viability of new stadiums for teams. They are put out there as if it allows clubs to generate new income to enable them to compete at a higher level. But clubs like Sunderland, Stoke, Bolton, Coventry, Southampton haven't kicked on at all with them. Some of them have been ****ed over. I get it where a club can sell out every game that increased capacity is obviously a good thing..... So us and Arsenal for instance. But to be honest i think Everton should have probably done what we did and increased maybe 2 of their stands. They have a 40k stadium already and are spending 100s of millions to increase to a 55k?? And their fanbase wont pay huge hospitality prices (i dont think anyway)

Sunderland did kick on though, it has been ridiculous ownership issues and bad managerial appointments that have ****ed them over. They built the SoL in 1997 and went from being a Championship side to being a regular Premier League team for years before the decision making went to ****.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostI can see a scenario where they end up renting that stadium and never owning it. I get where you are coming from but not all clubs with a new stadium will have the ability/capacity to move on, a few of those side might just have needed a new ground because the old one was worn down or **** or something. If you are moving to a new stadium if you are close to capacity most weeks it probably makes sense to go bigger. Everton are close to capacity for PL games at least. Not sure if they will sell out 55k every week or not but they must think they can get close. Goodison is somewhat run down, maybe a new stand or two revitalises it but I'm not sure, also not sure that there is the capacity around Goodison to expand, given that this is their 3rd(?) discussion of moving grounds in the last 20-25 years I would guess probably not.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostI can see a scenario where they end up renting that stadium and never owning it. 777 have injected another £20m into Everton this week to cover costs - they are balls deep into £200m - At this rate the EVwill be on the hook for nearly a Bil before they get into the stadium. Thing is, the new stadium won't be able to generate the cash they are hoping Ala Spurs or Arsenal.I make no apologies, this is me
