Bar what I’ve seen of Wilson myself, it’s a bit worrying that Kenny was quite a fan of Wilson when he signed, but didn’t seem to fancy him much when he was in charge. Likewise Holloway gave him a few opportunities to begin with, but he couldn’t even make the bench towards the end of the season (unless he was injured, but I don’t think he was).

Even reading his comments above, I don’t even think Wilson fancies his chances of making any sort of impact on the first team.

He's what I (personally) would want in a defender - firm, strong, technically very good and big as hell - but I also think he's very tactically naive; he goes to the ball, he leaves large chunks of space behind him, he's rash and has a tendency to go to ground and commits himself too soon. Positionally he is unaware of what's going off around him and I think his stature makes him immobile and unable to turn or recover quick enough to rectify any of the above.

I realise all of these elements can be taught, but I do think he should be more aware of the defensive line as apposed to his defensive duties. It's likely I could wrong and he'll come good - and I hope he does, but it's just my gut feeling.

Disagree mate, Agger had that something about him. You just knew he was the real deal. Wilson has not shown anything at all in the time he has been with us.

Kelly
Wisdom

I'd get rid of Sama too, he's another disaster waiting to happen.
