It annoys me that a so called 'experienced football man' can come into a club, see that the formation we play really suits our personel, see out the season sucessfully and then go and change everything the following season because it his 'tried and tested' formation!

It is a fuggin joke and will quite rightfully he will be questioned about it. I am slowly starting to see when the Liverpool fans disliked him so much.

We feared (well some of us did) that this stubbornness over formation would occur under Hodgson. One would hope the evidence before his eyes (ie, the way we played after his arrival last season to the way we're playing this) would tell him something.

This was always my worry with Hodgson.

That he would negate our strengths from last season, in an attempt to eradicate our weaknesses.
I think with the personnel we have at our disposal we needed to maintain the same system as last season.I just don't think we have the quality of defender to play for clean sheets, although with an improvement in the goalkeeping position and better organisation, we should have been capable of improving the goals against tally from last season, whilst maintaining our attacking prowess.

I think Roy was necessary last season, as his experience meant we were able to get through a difficult patch for us - but he seems to be imposing a style of play on the team which is in direct opposition to our strengths.

Worrying times.

I don't think it will. It should obviously but the bloke can do no wrong. I reckon it's a two horse race and I wonder if the FA have the guts to employ a criminal - leaving only Hodgson.
