It's not quite netball yet, although it's getting there, so I'd go with good.

Funny because a lot of people stated he often folded last year in big games when teams put pressure on him

I'm surprised at that, I can't really remember any of his other games for Blackpool, but I thought he played well for them against both us and Man Utd.Originally posted by Lecter View PostFunny because a lot of people stated he often folded last year in big games when teams put pressure on him

I like his aggression aswell, given he can be bit clumsy but he does like a tackle aswell. Just a genuinely quality showing from both of our CM's, delighted & deserved so much more.

Surely though, as truefan has often stated, after we paid lots of money for Carroll we were bound to be ripped off in all future transfer dealings?Originally posted by Shaggy View PostPlaying with so much more authority now, looks fitter and growing in stature. ****ing brilliant to see. Tell you what I thought today when Adam scored. Well, when he took that shot.
I like how he's happy to leather the ball from 20-30 yards and have a go. Think he's grabbed himself three or four this season by doing that.
I remember Maxi scoring his third against Fulham last season from 30 yards but we don't seem to be a team that's happy to have a stab from range.

Aye, he was very good today and was excellent last week - taking on more responsibility and not afraid to be 'the one' we look to at times. I think he benefits a lot when he's used as in front of 2 holding mids in a 4231, it absolves him of defensive duties and allows him to play his natural game.
Keep it going Charlie, very pleasing.

He's very like Lampard in that regard. Basically hits it low, hard and roughly on target and sees what happens.Originally posted by Lee View PostTell you what I thought today when Adam scored. Well, when he took that shot.

Yup, and we all take the piss about how Lampard scores 20 deflected goals per season. If Adam can score ten this season like yesterdays then that's good enough for me.Originally posted by dww View PostHe's very like Lampard in that regard. In a way that is certainly true - he clearly didn't hit it quite right but, as with so many of Lampard's goals, there are a class of shots from that distance that even if they are mis-hit give decent odds of a goal and that shot met those criteria. It was hard, low and missed the first defender. In a way it is a case of you have to buy a lottery ticket to win it. The real test is in the judgement of when to take such a gamble - i.e. not to do it when a pass would result in better odds of a goal.Originally posted by RedReet View PostIt was a poor effort to be fair though. He didn't catch it well at all.
Unlucky with the one shortly after on his right though."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
