He is just terrible tackler. He committed 55 fouls in 61 tackles he attempted last year.

Are you sure it's not 55 fouls from 116 challenges? Otherwise he's only made 6 tackles in like 35 games or something.

I think he's a big useless lump but that stat can't possibly be right.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I'm sure it must be 55 fouls from 116 tackles not 55 fouls from 61 tackles.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Talking of unwelcome returns, how are you, Dane?
            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Compared to our other options? He is miles better than them all bar Gerrard and Lucas.

He's ok, was never a big fan said it when we signed him got fricken lambasted and sure apart from good month he was average.

Fact being we need better than Meireles,Adam,Spearing,Downing & Henderson in the midfield, whether we make improvements there i'm a bit skeptical about. Lack of funds seems to be a weeee bit of a problem.

All of the above players IMO are squad players at best.

No, he'll be off to spurs - bad sale from us, took away that creative link we had imo.

Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

On Meireles. Did anyone notice his tackling and allround defensive game was pretty spot on for the chavs. I know they were ultra defensive under DM but still, he put his body on the line plenty of times.

he plays in a three for chelsea so he's always going to look alright but in a two he looks lightweight and unsuited to the premiership. He is very mobile and moves the ball quickly and on the continent its fine but in this country youve got to be able to put your foot in when needed.

if meireles had come here at 22 then he could have adjusted his game to add a bit of bite but the worst thing about him was that despite looking like a psycho on meth he was actually a pussy.

he is a total pussy and he also plays in a 3 man midfield for Portugal with workers like Veloso & Moutinho.

He isn't though, he defensive work is decent, it is in fact far better than that of Adam who is not considered a pussy.

And seriously mate, Veloso is not a worker!

EDIT: He kinda is, he works hard but is still a pussy

It's funny i know he looks like Ricky Martin so people think he's a wimp but he works his bollox off and gets stuck in! Some people only realised this when he got plaudits for his hard working performances in the Euros along side Meireles & Moutinho.

That comment along Matty shows me that you know absolutely nothing about Veloso as a player. I know you don't like admitting you're wrong but you've sold yourself with that comment dude, way off

His time at Genoa is wasnt a good one as they struggled but he is a super player IMO

Veloso is known for his work rate in the middle of the pitch and neat passing, and scored four goals in 97 league appearances for the Lions before moving to Genoa in 2010, where he played 49 Serie A matches, scoring twice.
