I guess its a case of us paying too much to begin with fopr what we got from him (earth-shattering revelation there), and he's a player who's underperformed, and is clearly on the fringe of the manager's thinking.
Not in a hugely advantageous bargaining position to begin with.........bids will always be on the low side to begin with.
6.75m paid for him.......a million of that would do it I reckon, although I reckon his actual contract wage with us is on the high side so we'd like to cover that as much as possible.
Probably more up to him to force the move though if he wants to play as much ball as possible...........we won't bring in another midfielder, and with Spearing out and Lucas injured, he may fancy his chances of sticking about."I will make the boys feel your support"

I think you have to look at the likely difference in wages saved too though.Originally posted by Shaggy View Post£4m's a piss take really, especially if we get £3m for Jay. Didn't we pay £7m for him? £6m would seem fair to me.
I think he'll go somewhere and do well. He's not been an abject failure for us even (I'm not a fan and would like him to go but he did score and assist more than most others for us last season)."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Rodgers on Charlie Adam
Asked about Charlie Adam's future, the manager said: "Charlie's a very good player. He'll be a pivotal part of the Scottish national team going forward. He's a terrific player with a good left foot, who will score goals and I'm sure he'll do very well for Scotland."

Not just footballers, abusing anyone directly on Twitter stinks. Unless it's Piers Morgan. Or that odious, rubbish footballer who was having a go at Jamie O'Hara. Or anyone using Twitter to abuse anyone directly.
Hang on, I'm not sure that works. As soon as one person abuses someone on Twitter then it triggers a runaway chain reaction and...
