Not ideal by any means in playoff competition

Weakest team left OK, but any team that can get the ball down and pass will give Ireland trouble.
Who did you want then, fecking Havant & Waterlooville?

It was quite horrendous and with 10 men too. If they had of had 11 men for full game, they would have beaten us. 10 men, they scored an own goal, replacement keeper was a novice and desperate for second goal & Armenia still outplayed & outpassed us.

We were lucky but i suppose we'll take it and the result. Pesonally i just can't quite jusify forking out 40 or 50 quid on a ticket to watch that anti football, regardless if it's my country ya know ticket prices are criminal. You feel drained after watching Ireland play for 90 mins.

I know Ireland have some very average player but Trappatoni doesn't help matters by the way he plays. Although i'm sure he looks at his pool of players and says "holy ****" haha, i suppose he feels thats the best he can do with the players available.

Not a big trap fan but I suppose if we qualify can't really complain even if it's horrible to watch. Even though Ireland do seem to raise their game against the better oppostion i agree we will take some serious beatings, but sure never expected to qualify and would give country a great lift just to be there.
He's on course to getting you to your first major finals in a decade. What more do you want?

You sound like those england fans lambasting Capello, despite his win/loss record being statistically better than any other england manager's.

Of course, like i said even though its anti football, if he gets us through it's effective and i'll be delighted.

But we do have better players than what he is using, be nice to see few of them drafted in "if" we qualify.

Maybe so, but every other manager in the last 10 years has had you sat on the sofa, watching major finals, eating crisps and wishing you were there.

                  He's got you there.*

What date are the playoffs by the way?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Next month I think mate. 15th I think.

I only remember this date because it's my birthday.

                          Thanks

I was hoping it was early next year and that this was the last international break of 2011

It might not have much of an impact though because the 15th is a Tuesday. I think.

                              11th and 15th November.

Furthermore, England (obviously not involved with the playoffs) have arranged 2 ****ing friendlies for those dates, against Spain and Sweden.
