Gazza on TS now, say's Dalglish was the first manager to come in for him of the big clubs, the fee was 2.2mill...we could only go to 2 mill, as Rushie was coming back that year, he said he was surprised at the fee as he came through the newcastle ranks.
He then said...."Don't forget at that time....People talk about Baracelona now...but Liverpool then played football like Barca do now".
Shame we missed out on him, but then again...maybe not ?
Who knows what his career would've turned out like had he joined us or United for example. Personally I think he'd be the same person - these sort of issues and illnesses are wired into you from birth I think - but you never know.

Yes of course, but it's a case of....if he'd signed for us maybe things would have been different for him, but i'm not convinced they would is what i mean.

Oh aye, i'm sure there's some stuff in his system.
I wasnt taking the piss or mocking him, i genuinely thought he sounded drunk.
I've heard him speaking before and he's sounded more coherent than he did this morning, IMO. But yeah, i'm sure he'll be on medication and that might have an impact.

Hmmmm i'm not sure, have you not heard him speak when he's drunk, for Gazza, imo, he sounded far from drunk ? and for him, that's good news.
But yes as mentioned he's very likely to be on meds of some sort for sure.
Gazza: I drank four bottles of whisky and did 16 lines of coke A DAY
Paul Gascoigne has revealed he didn’t eat and drank no water for four months – but lived instead on a diet of whisky and cocaine.
Gazza said the marathon binges began when he retired from football in 2004 and now fears another drink would kill him.
In an interview he told TV’s Piers Morgan: “You think, well, how did I get myself in a state like that? Especially cocaine.
“It was there on a plate and I thought I’d try it and I couldn’t stop. I locked myself in a hotel room for six weeks.
“I’d probably have about 16 lines of coke in a day.
“The football is what I lived for, what I woke up for, but that was gone. It’s taken away and you think, ‘Oh s**t, what now?’
“My solution was drink and cocaine. I went loopy. The phone calls I made were unbelievable. I remember ringing my dad saying, ‘Listen, get your stuff, we’re going to play Presidents Clinton and Bush at chess’ – I honestly believed it.
“The worst one was when I went four months without food or water – not even water – and four bottles of whisky a day. I went to about nine stone.”
Gazza, 44, who played for Newcastle, Spurs, Lazio and Rangers, said he’s had a 15-year battle with booze.
He’s had many lapses, including being pictured waiting for Tyneside pubs to open, but rehab has helped him stay sober for a year now.
He said: “I’ve learnt at the centre I can actually have more fun without a drink than with. If I start drinking again, I’ll end up in a coffin.”
Gazza also said he still loves ex-wife Sheryl but knows he’s got to move on.
He added: “I could see myself getting married again. I am a good bloke. I’m a nice bloke, I’m kind-hearted.”
