Good banter on here, thought I'd come have a look around.

Looking forward to our next 3 games, lose, draw, win in that order I'm predicting, but in all honesty if we lose all 3 i'll still be happy with our start to the season.

I'm getting quite bored of people keep banging on about the fact that we 'haven't played a decent side yet'.

Looking at our corresponding fixtures from last season compared to this season (excluding the QPR game as they weren't in the PL, we are a massive 18 points better off, conceding less and scoring more.

I don't care what part of the season the games come, if anything unbeaten from day one is a harder achievement as players normally take a while to get into their stride, which was most certainly the case with Ba and Tiote but we still ground results out.

These are the types of teams that we invariably struggle to beat every season, but this season something has just clicked.

    - - - - - - - - -11/12 - - 10/11

The media can't bear to see us holding our own and doing well. It was they that were predicting a gloomy road ahead with no Carroll, Enrique, Nolan or Barton, no striker (of any reputable nature) purchased with the £35m, free signings and young players brought in, in place of experienced seasoned premier league players.

    Does my head in.

No doubt they'll be straight on it if we lose to either Man City, Man U or Chelsea printing more bollocks about how we failed when put to the real test.

Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea have all been on the end of proper beatings this season so far, so for us to lose (even comprehensively) to any of these 3, as well as Man City is no great shame really. I just hope that defeat, whatever the nature does not knock our confidence cos on current form, after these 3 games we have a good run of games that are more than winnable.

      Welcome mate.

I like Pardew; did a very good job at West Ham. Ba will probably be one of the signings of the season too - shrewd move.

Where do you think you'll finish?

        Cheers fella.

Have to admit I thought Pardew was a strange appointment. A lot of the fans anger though I think was more to do with the fact that Hughton didn't really do a lot wrong, is one of the nicest and genuinely honest blokes you'll come across and had a commanded a lot of respect from his players. Its panned out pretty well so far so I can't complain.

Cabaye has been my signing of the season so far. He is top quality, but Ba has certainly impressed. Took him a while to get going, but he was fasting at the beginning of the season which seemed to have some effect on his (and Tiote's) performances.

I'll be happy finishing in the top 10 mate to be perfectly honest. We've proven thus far that we can grind out results against teams that we invariably struggle against so I see no reason why we can't continue in the same vein. If we can sneak a european spot it'll be an massive bonus and a massive boost to the club. I miss the european games !

Looking forward to our 2 teams meeting up. Think we could be fairly close together in the league when the first one comes around.

No sooner have I noticed a mention for Sma**** Keysy than I notice the resurrection of the Pardew thread. Spooky.

          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Pardew has been a breath of fresh air! i have to admit that i was one of those who thought he woud be one of the first managers to get the boot and couln't believe that he was appointed in the first place, but fair play to him! he doing really well and its nice to see Newcastle fans happy again!!!
