I'm not saying Ngoo is better right now, I'm just asking why people think the club would lump out £20m on a unproven player when we have an equally unproven but physically very similar player in our reserves.

If Ngoo had 2 years in the Championship with 9 goals in 115 games and practically no assists would there be a massive clamour to bring him back and hail him as the saviour?

I don't think anyone would be interested.
Good points well made, to be honest I have not seen much of the lad, but what I have seen has been impressive, I like also his build, he looks like Yaya Toure, and the Palace fans seem to think he is all that and a packet of crisps. Still you are probally right .. then again Ronaldo had a lot of hype, as did Walcot we were in for both of them and were not prepared to splash the equivilant of 20 million on ronaldo and 12 on Walcot

Zaha, thinks there's only two players better than him. Messi and Placcy

Not that we should move on Leon Osman's advice but this is what he said about Zaha:

"We have all been hearing about him for a year or so now. He came and trained on Monday morning and looked the real deal. He was direct, skilful and committing people."

Suarez up front, Zaha and Sterling wide, Suso in the middle with Lucas, Sahin and Gerrard.

I remember you saying something similar about a year or two ago when I mentioned him being an upcoming talent along with Jon Williams. He really has developed his game and whoever gets him will haver a top player on their hand. He's not a striker mate and is often played on the right but regularly switches to the left with Bolasie.

Raheem Sterling retweeted his.twitter comment earlier which denied he said he was better than any other player. He said the press twisted his words in a certain way and he went on to say he only likes to believe before a.match he.can be as a good as any player as a way of. Building confidence in himself

Think it was Shaggy who said that about him last year.

I think we need someone who offers more of a goal threat than Zaha does personally and I don't think he'll offer more than the players we have personally or that the likely price he will be available at is reasonable or sensible.

Mine too. I like the first split second where he's looking for his cue

He will not go for a reasonable fee as he's at Palace.

Ability wise, he'd challenge for a spot in our starting XI. And he'll only get better. As a player he is the perfect fit for our current formation.

But as Matt says. As good as he could be, we need players who will convert chances now. And his goal scoring record suggests this is not a player who will give us the cutting edge we need right now.

In a way he's similar to Sterling & Suso. He'll look good and will cause problems, but still needs to work on his final ball/shot.
                              Forwards.......

Looking like Utd have got themselves the real deal with this lad. Both ability wise and more importantly mentality wise IMO.

This thread needs to be moved btw mods
