Strange signing.

I assume Villa-Boas rated him from their time together in Portugal?

He's a decent player, but when Chelsea start buying squaddies from other PL clubs as first teamers, it's no surprise that they are struggling to compete with the leaders.

        Aye.

He didn't get the raise supposedly Purslow verbally promised him and he knew that he was not going to be regular any longer but for the higher wages he figured he's better off to sit on Chav's bench then on ours.

Not too bothered to see him go but the fact remains we haven't really replaced him yet so it will be interesting to see if we will pick up 2 midfielders in January or just one.

Wasn't there also a rumour of him having a cunty personality?

A Chelsea player with a cunty attitude? Surely not.

He's not very good, and it shows at Chelsea.

It's all very easy to brandish someone not very good once we've sold them, but he is clearly a good player who, like many at Chelsea, they are struggling to fit into their system. If they even have a system.

He wasn't very good when he played here either. I don't miss him one bit.

We struggled to find a place for him as well, though. Playing behind the striker wasn't his natural game (allegedly) but he seemed to do ok there for us. As for on the right...less said the better.

He was okay. Can't say that I was too fussed about him leaving.

I said all summer we should have got rid of him while his stock was high, if he'd stayed he wouldn't have been getting games here and his value would have dropped. The only thing that surprised me was that Chelsea bought him.
