The Rooney hype will start all over again and end in major disappointment, just like the other international tournaments. It will be good to see.

What a ****ing joke that is, could he not come up with anything better than that..... no wonder they are despised & a laughing stock
What an idiotic comment to make and he's the director of communications .

Then change the ****ing rule and regulations and make them more consistent with UEFA ones you bunch of lazy, corrupt hypocrites..

Indeed. England - the perennially most underachieving football side. When Eriksson said a week ago or whenever England 'beat' Spain in that mightily important friendly: "England can go on and win it.", I really had a good chuckle and thought to myself "Here we go again!". Will be fantastic to watch the obligatory build-up, the hype of the press "We beat Spain, we've got The Messiah Jones!", the numpties fans giving it large and the resulting crashing out, the witch hunt to get "that foreign manager" Capello ousted, the consequent slaying of the players in the press, the Sky punditry "We need a Bri'ish Manager, look no furva dan moi dad", the same scratched record being put on to the B-side and the rollocks to start all over again in time for the World Cup 2014.

              Like ****ing clockwork

England World Cup winner Sir Geoff Hurst, who celebrated his 70th birthday on Thursday, has revealed which Englishman he is backing to replace Fabio Capello after Euro 2012. He told Football Focus :

"Having had two foreign coaches that haven't got us beyond the quarter-finals, I believe an English coach could have taken us that far. The next manager should be English and it should be Harry Redknapp."

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
