Lets be fair they are mechanical, well drilled and boring to watch, they have become a typical Mourinho team without the odd flair player. they remind me of his Inter team, swallow pressure and then break out.
Rarely rotates his core players and after a couple of years they are either burnt out or resent him

That Inter team had Lucio, Samuel, Zanetti and Chivu at the back - arguably 3 of the best defenders in the past 20 years.

Cambiasso and Wesley Sneijder at their peak.

Eto’o and Milito up top. They Mourinho’d their way past the best Barca side of Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and co so I agree with you there but nowhere near to the current United side in terms of ability.

If i recall the chosen **** actually made them better by being so defensively minded, he hit Barca on the break just like he did Arsenal last weekend. He made them mechanical in their process. Boring as **** but it gets you somewhere.
Look at the performance vs Ajax in the final last year - mechanical and negated Ajax, didn't play football just processed the **** out of them

I'm not disagreeing with you in on the point of Mourinho making them 'better' but the current United side is miles away from the level of that Inter side even if it is way more expensive comparatively speaking.
