He’s having a terrible season with us and arsenal. People say it was because he was sulking. He’s just not playing well enough to win games for us by himself and it’s only going to get worse.
This will be a Rooney situation in one more seasons time. Higest paid player in the league and doesn’t fit in, nobody can afford him and he has no incentive to move unless we pay him off. For half that outlay you sign a Sane or Malcom type signing and give him a season or two to reach his peak here. If we were ever going to sign him and get any value out of him it was when he was leaving Barca. Our scouting and management has been awful post Fergie. I always dread when we make big “exiting” signings. They just fail here. We have no footballing identity for the last few years. I’m rapidly Losing faith with Jose. This is one of the most expensively assembled teams of all time and they look like they’ve never played together before. Good players are meant to make it look easy. Shocking. It’s not like we battered them and they picked up off 1-0. We looked so poor. I genuinely can’t see what one or two players are going to come in and improve us anymore.
