He's limited, but he's still made them competitive over the past year or so. Whether that's down to having signed Fernandes I'm not sure. I agree that he's not a top class manager.
If he's given another 3 years then that would be fantastic.
I would be surprised though, that a departing Woodward would give him another 3 years on top when they could take their time and find a progressive manager who could take them to another level, especially that they can afford to pay such high wages.Must be Fergie's influence on things still after all of these years, backing his former protege.
