    Gotta love Ole.

Looked like a dead man walking again, pulls another decent result out the bag again. Not only gives him some breathing space, but the result takes out the biggest competitor for his job.

    Ole
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Imagine that **** with a 15 man or less squad shanks, paisley, Fagan, dalglish had to cope with; he would be absolutely ****ed. Thank God Ole's at the wheel

United are ****ing ****e, Maguire especially - a total embarrassment to the club and captaincy.

        Brilliant to see. [emoji28][emoji23]

Lucky he has old man Ronaldo to help him. 11 games, 9 goals, 1 assist. He's carrying them.

Is he carrying them or is he actually having a net negative impact on others and the team as a whole?

Players like Bruno Fernandes have struggled compared to last season and the results have dropped off as a result.

Ronaldo's number are in line with what you would have expected of him, but at what cost to the rest of the team?

              The former.

Yep agreed, he is carrying them at the cost of them developing into a more cohesive team long term. No doubt the likes of Fernandes are suffering.

And how must Sancho feel??? How long before he starts to get pissed off. They have moved to a 5-3-2 and that means less places on the pitch for attackers.

Yeah, but they aren’t a cohesive team and that’s not new this season. Ole shoves 11 players onto the pitch and hopes for the best and the only reason that they’re not bottom half of because of the quality of some of those players. They weren’t garbage last night from back to front for 88 mins because they were accommodating Ronaldo, but he did single-handedly get them a draw.

They went back to four at the back though last night as soon as Varane went off rather than bring on a defender to replace him.

Ole does not seem to have a system or set up that he tweaks and refines. Seems to stick with something for a bit, then when it goes tits up rather than fix the problem he just goes for wholesale changes in his formations in the hope something works, then he sticks until it goes tits up again and in comes the next formation change.

I didnt watch them much, but to my memory they seemed to be a wee bit more solid defensively last season.

Harry Maguires form (for what it is) has fallen off a cliff. I watched a bit of the game last night and their shape when they lost the ball was mental a few times. Agree with the hope for best philosophy, other than suggesting a formation and then getting the players on the pitch he doesnt seem to take it much further than that.

Interested to see how they manage with City, who are possibly even better than us at exploiting space.

There seems to be an almighty hangover from the Euros of a good number of the English players.

McGuire & Shaw have been horrific
Stones and Sterling hardly get a look in at club level.
Kane went on strike in order to force a move
Phillips at Leeds hasn't had a great start to the season
Pickford will always have a mistake in him

Only real exception seems to be Declan Rice, who is having a superb season and, I'm sure he'd be delighted to know, has forced me to totally revise my opinion on him.
