They seem to be pinning their hopes on Pochetino who hasn't exactly done much. If he's the pinnacle of candidates then we don't need to worry too much. He came 2nd in a one horse race last season didn't he

They have ****ed it big time. Looking on RedCafe its split on Poch too, But better than the other alternative in the betting which is Rodgers.

Not sure any great or succesful managers will want the job yet, certainly not mid season.

How well did this age from Pajak back in 2018. Absolutely nailed it!

"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

The dream scenario is surely that Bruce comes in and goes on a run similar to Ole when he was first appointed and they offer him the job on a permanent basis

United will have to pay 10m euros (£8.4m) if they want to prise Argentine Pochettino, 49, away from PSG.
Pay out for Ole =£8m reportedly & now the same again to get Poch. The gift that keeps on giving

I'd rather they didn't get poch, I think he's one of the few who could do well there.

                  Bruce would be great

His record in the transfer market is atrocious. Good coach but there was plenty at Spurs who were pissed off with his loyalty to some players and his lack of abilty to change things during games with subs and tactical switches. I would be more worried with Ten Haag. he looks like he could be a world class manager in the making.

Agree with red g - Poch doesn’t worry as much as others. He won f all with Spurs and they had a really strong side that failed to deliver. He seems to be struggling a bit in PSG with the egos and he’ll have to deal with that st United also

Ten Hagg is one of the interesting “ next big things” but winning with Ajax is fairly easy tbh. I think the best managers are all taken right now and whoever goes in there will still he hampered by the ****show above them. Many years needed to fix them

They need their own version of Klopp but the only man that approaches the great man, in terms of galvanising a team, consistent approach, making a super-strong team is that **** Simeone - he's the one I'd be most worried about.

He might fail, it would be a big gamble, but he's one of them characters which could bring it all together and create a super-charged 'us against the world' mentality - tighten it all up and build for the long term.

Totally different style to Klopp but someone capable of becoming a figurehead and everything else slotting in around him.

However, I don't think he'll leave Atletico, I don't think he'd want to live in North England and I don't think United would seriously consider him.

Yep, agreed, Pochetino is a good manager based on.... what? Turning Spurs from ****e also rans to play decent football also rans.

                          CV includes:
Coming third in League in two horse race.
                          Getting to CL Final.

He did get the best out of Kane, so can imagine that the Kane to Man U headlines will grow, but they already have way too many forwards.

Poch is a gamble, but 'could' work out for them. They need a Klopp or Pep sized personality but there are few out there. Missing out on Tuchel and Conte will haunt them.

I think there is a lot of Beckham baggage there also - he’ll end up at Inter or Lazio at some point and then back to Argentina

Would be hilarious if they went and spent a fortune on Poch.....then went and spent a fortune on Kane...... only to get the 2021 version - as opposed to the 2019 version they would pay for!!!!

He doesn't play the United way though does he? Same as Conte, they only want winners who play attacking ffotball.
