    Hope they win this weekend

Confirmed and then as a consultant for two years. Which seems quite non committal and not the DoF they were hoping for.

He may well be the godfather of the gegenpress but he has won **** all. Intertoto and a couple of German cups.

He was never a “successful” manager but he has built great foundations when he was allowed full control. He won a few promotions with Hoffenheim and RBL and in both cases he was given free reign to oversee all aspects of building the club. He will not be given that at United and he never worked with a club of this size.

The father of gegenpressing is total bs also - Klopp is an advocate of Sacchi’s Milan side and his counter pressing style. I have no doubt he could go well at United but it could also blow up if he isn’t given the control he likes.

Nonetheless it will be interesting to see how it goes

He will do good things there for sure. We have a good 3 or 4 year head start on them though. We just need to make sure we keep growing and building

Not happening. He is only there until the end of the season......

More in terms of planning/squad building rather than as manager

Strange one this, If he does a **** job as an interim manager are they really going to want him to stay on?

If he does a good job though, then he might want the gig full time???

It's a difficult one because what do you define as successful or not successful for them at the moment? Not getting CL would be bad for them but that looks like a real struggle, looking at the table there seems to be a top 3 and then 7 teams going for that 4th spot at the moment (presumably a number of them will fall off as the season progresses). If they finish 4th this year he'll have done a really good job IMO. If they don't and just miss out (i.e. finish 5th) I wouldn't say he'd have done a bad job from where they are now, if they finish 8th that's a continuation of what Solskjaer has been doing so that would be bad. Anywhere between 5th and 8th would be difficult to evaluate and depends on what he does in the transfer market.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The they are back in the 'Ole Conundrum' of hiring a manager who has never managed at the top level and not won anything of note.

Their big problem will be how the big names and lazy cunts respond to being asked to put a shift in
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Also this is particularly a problem if they know/think that the manager is only going to be around for the rest of the season.

"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."
